There was uncertainty about the second Test to be held in Kanpur. Hindu Mahasabha had threatened not to hold the match in Kanpur in protest against the violence against Hindus in Bangladesh. Due to this, there were speculations that BCCI could shift the match to some other place. But according to the latest reports, BCCI is not considering shifting the match from Kanpur and this match will be held there as per the scheduled program.

Also, strict security arrangements are being made so that the match can be held in a safe environment.

The reason behind the threat of Hindu Mahasabha

In recent times, videos related to political instability and atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh went viral on social media. In protest against these incidents, Hindu Mahasabha had warned not to allow the test match to be held at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. But the administration and BCCI have made it clear that the match will be held in Kanpur on its scheduled date and security arrangements will be given priority.
