A bad news related to Australia cricket has come out. Former Australia and New South Wales fast bowler Frank Misson has passed away. He breathed his last at the age of 85. Frank Misson's domestic career has been very good, but he was seen in international cricket for a very short time. Due to Achilles injury, his international career could not last even 6 months. Frank Misson was known for his fitness. He started his first class career at the age of 20.
While debuting for New South Wales in the 1958-59 season, he took 6 wickets in his very first match. After this, he got a chance to debut in the famous 1960-61 home series against West Indies. He made his debut in the second Test match of the series against West Indies in Melbourne. He took a total of 2 wickets in this match.Frank Misson was also selected in the Australian team for the 1961 Ashes tour. He played a total of 2 matches in this series. But due to an Achilles injury, he had trouble in the middle of the tour and he could not play further.
His international career also ended here. On the other hand, he played a total of 71 first class matches in his career. During this time, Frank Misson took 177 wickets at an average of 31.13. He played first class cricket from 1958 to 1964.Cricket New South Wales chief executive Lee Germain paid tribute to Misson on his death. Germain said, 'We offer our heartfelt condolences to Frank's family and friends, especially to all those who played with him as a member of the NSW men's team and the Australian men's team. Frank's career was cut short due to injury, which was an irony, because at that time his focus was on health, diet and fitness, when sports science was not so prevalent.
His five Test caps are a recognition of his talent and determination and there is no doubt that if he had not been injured, he could have played even more times for his state and country.'
