Navdeep's struggle

Navdeep Singh is 4 feet 4 inches tall. He had to face taunts for his short height since childhood. His brother had revealed in an interview with Indian Express that all the children in the neighbourhood used to tease him about his height. Due to this, he used to get upset and lock himself in his room and would not come out of the house for many days. But this picture changed from 2012. That year Navdeep was awarded the National Child Award and embarked on a new journey. Later, inspired by Neeraj Chopra, he started playing javelin throw.

Navdeep was born in the year 2000. When he was two years old, his parents realized that their child was suffering from dwarfism. Both tried a lot to get him treated but it was of no use. As he grew older, the children of the village started teasing him. After this, his father encouraged him to participate in sports to encourage him. Initially Navdeep used to wrestle like his father. Later, inspired by Neeraj Chopra, he started playing javelin throw.
