He did not know what school is? Because, his father did not get him admitted. And, the reason behind this was only cricket, about which his father was more crazy than Swastik Chikara. His father's wish was that if the son would play, then only cricket. As a result of this, Swastik started playing cricket at the age of just 5 years. His first coach was his father. The son's cricket, which started with the insistence of his father, has crossed all limits today and the latest proof of which is found in UP T20 League 2024, where he has made 5 amazing records along with scoring 499 runs by hitting 47 sixes.
In UP T20 League 2024, Swastik Chikara's team Meerut Mavericks wore the champion's garb. The team, which missed the title after reaching the finals last year, managed to win this season only because Swastik Chikara's bat was seen spewing fire throughout the season, match after match. This is the reason why every big record of UP T20 League 2024 is in the name of Swastik Chikara.
Swastik Chikara scored 499 runs at an average of 49.90 with 47 sixes and 30 fours in 12 matches played in UP T20 League 2024.
During this, he made 5 big records, including most sixes, most runs, most boundaries, highest score and most half-centuries.Swastik Chikara is the batsman who hit the most 47 sixes in the UP T20 League 2024. Even though he could not touch the 500-run mark, he is still the highest run-scorer with 499 runs. He also holds the record for hitting the most 77 boundaries in this season. The highest score of 114 runs was also recorded in his name. He has scored the most 5 half-centuries in the UP T20 League 2024.
When his father saw him making all these records in the UP T20 League 2024, he must have been proud.
After all, it was his dream that his son should play cricket. Connecting his father's dream with his own desires, Swastik Chikara started playing cricket at the age of 4-5 years. But, he started taking professional training at the age of 11-12 years. His first professional coach was Amar Sir in Ghaziabad. After that he took training from Narendra Gurjar Sir of Haryana. Swastik Chikara has revealed these things in a conversation with Manjot Kalra, who has played Under 19 cricket for India.
