KL Rahul's IPL future is in focus as uncertainty over his retention as a player and a captain at Lucknow Super Giants remain. The wicketkeeper-batter recently met LSG owner Sanjeev Goenka in Kolkata, and as per reports expressed his intentions to continue with the team which he has led since their inception in 2022. However, a new video has surfaced in which KL Rahul can be seen smiling and not dismissing the idea of a fan urging him to make a comeback at RCB. "I am a die-hard RCB fan. I have been following RCB for a very long, and you playing past in RCB, and now definitely the rumours; I won't say anything. But yeah, I am just wishing and praying that you come into RCB and rock here," the fan can be heard saying in the video. KL replied to the fan with a smile on his face, saying, "Let's hope so." As per reports RCB are looking for a young captain after 40-year-old Faf du Plessis failure to deliver a trophy in his three attempts. KL Rahul is a perfect replacement for du Plessis as the Karnataka cricketer has played a lot of cricket at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium - RCB's home ground - since his early days. Rahul also provides RCB the option to replace the former South Africa captain as team's opener. His comeback can also fill the void of a quality wicketkeeper-batter after the retirement of Dinesh Karthik. Meanwhile, LSG owner Goenka has refrained from confirming Rahul's future with his team despite calling him a family. Team's spinner Amit Mishra also recently opined that LSG could be looking for a new captain.
