Kohli: Indian team's legendary batsman Virat Kohli has not played in the Test format for the last 9 months. Due to which Kohli is currently at the 7th position in the Test rankings. But now Virat Kohli has returned to the Test team. Due to which Kohli can now reach the number 1 position in the Test rankings again.
Let us tell you that Team India has to play a 2 Test match series with Bangladesh from 19 September. For which Team India's squad has been announced. Kohli has got a place in the series against Bangladesh and he will be seen playing. Due to which Kohli has a chance to leave behind number 1 Test batsman Joe Root.

Virat Kohli, the current best batsman of the Indian team, last played a Test match against South Africa in January 2024.
After that he withdrew his name from the 5-match Test series played against England.But even after this, Kohli remains at the 7th position in the Test rankings. ICC has released the latest rankings. In which Kohli has gained one position. Due to which he has now moved from the 8th position to the 7th position. Kohli currently has a rating of 737.
Currently, England's legendary batsman Joe Root is at the top of the men's Test batting rankings. Root has performed brilliantly in Tests for the last few years.
Due to which he currently has a rating of 899.But even after this, Kohli has a golden opportunity to overtake Root. Because, Team India still has to play 10 Test matches. If Kohli's performance remains excellent in all these matches, then King Kohli can again reach the first position in the Test rankings. Kohli is currently 162 ratings behind Root.
Apart from Virat Kohli, Indian team captain Rohit Sharma and young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal are also in the top 10 in the latest Test batting rankings.
Rohit Sharma is currently at the 5th position with 751 rating. If Rohit Sharma also performs well, he can also reach the first position. Apart from this, Yashasvi Jaiswal is currently at the 6th position in the Test rankings with 740 rating.
