Bangladesh are high on confidence as they recently beat Pakistan for the first time in an away series. India on the other hand are in no mood to take Bangladesh lightly and have announced a full-strength Test squad for the series opener.
Virat Kohli Eyes Plethora Of Iconic Records
Kohli sets eyes on Sachin Tendulkar's record: Virat Kohli is Sachin Tendulkar's cricketing successor in every sense.
The modern day 'Chasemaster' has broken many records previously held by Sachin Tendulkar and is in no mood to stop anytime soon. Last year in the 2023 ODI World Cup , Kohli broke Sachin's record of having the most hundreds in the fifty over format. Kohli also became the first and as of now the only batsman to score fifty centuries in ODIs. In the upcoming Bangladesh series, Kohli can become the fastest player to hit 27000 runs in International cricket, breaking Tendulkar's record of 27K runs in 623 innings.
So far Virat has played only 591 innings.

Virat Kohli on the cusp of joining cricketing greats: Former India skipper is certainly in the list of all-time greats and there are no second thoughts about it. During the Bangladesh series, Kohli can join the greats like Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting, Jacques Kallis and Kumar Sangakkara.
Virat is just 11 runs short of reaching 12000 International runs at home and can become only the fifth player to do so.
Virat Kohli sets sights on Don Bradman's record: This is one record that certainly nobody saw coming. Australian legend, Don Bradman was extremely fond of Sachin Tendulkar's batting prowess and now Kohli has the chance of breaking Bradman's record too. Kohli is tied with Don Bradman having scored 29 Test centuries. If Kohli goes on to score his 30th Test ton, he will go past Sir Don Bradman.
