Delhi: Former Pakistan leg-spinner Danish Kaneria has strongly criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and his national team after the Test series defeat against Bangladesh. This was Pakistan's first Test series defeat against Bangladesh and Kaneria called it shameful and said that even the neighborhood teams can play better than them.

In the two-match Test series, Bangladesh won the first match by 10 wickets, while in the second Test, it achieved the target of 185 runs with 6 wickets in hand. This defeat has raised questions on the Pakistan team.

In an interview with IANS, Kaneria criticized the Pakistani team a lot. The former right-arm spinner blamed the PCB and said that the team's performance is very poor, and the change of captain and PCB chairman has disappointed. He also termed the decision to appoint Babar Azam as captain instead of Sarfaraz Ahmed as wrong, because Sarfaraz won the ICC Champions Trophy in 2017 and was performing well in all three formats.

Comparing India and Pakistan, Kaneria said that Indian players have performed brilliantly even under pressure, which has made them a world class team, while Pakistan lacks leadership.
