India National Cricket Team pacer Akash Deep recently picked two cricketers as gods of cricket. The title was with Sachin Tendulkar for a long time, but the seamer doesn’t agree with a lot of fans and former players. Sachin is the greatest cricketer to have played the game and is still the leading run-scorer in Test cricket and one-day internationals. He is the only player to amass 100 international centuries.
He is dubbed as the God of Cricket. Meanwhile, Akash said that when he joined the Indian squad for the first time in a Test series against England, he witnessed a different level of hard work from Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. He also said that they are the Gods of Cricket.
“I witnessed a different level of hard work and dedication from Virat and Rohit when I joined Team India. For me, they are the Gods of Cricket,” he said ahead of the second Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur.
“Virat and Rohit have achieved a lot in their careers but they still train hard. Their thought process motivates me to work even harder,” he added.
Rohit Sharma helped me a lot: Akash Deep
Akash Deep hailed Rohit Sharma for helping him and making things simple in the series against Bangladesh. “I thought this series against Bangladesh would keep me under pressure, but Rohit bhaiya made things simple and easy for me. He is a supportive captain, and I never felt that I was playing domestic or international cricket.”
