IPL 2025: Before the auction for the IPL 2025 season, BCCI has issued a new update regarding the rules of retention. This time a new rule has come regarding auction.
According to which now the Indian players who have not played a single international match for Team India in the last 5 years will be kept in the category of uncapped players. According to which, now two veteran players who have played more than 50 matches at the international level for Team India will be retained as uncapped players in IPL 2025.
Former captain of Team India, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) has played 90 Tests, 350 ODIs and 98 T20 matches for the Indian team at the international level. Mahendra Singh Dhoni has also captained Team India between 2007 and 2016.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) played his last match at the international level in the 2019 World Cup. Mahendra Singh Dhoni has not played any international match for the last 5 years. Due to which it is believed that before the IPL 2025 auction, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise will retain Mahendra Singh Dhoni as an uncapped player.
