Actually, Indian team captain Rohit Sharma can be seen captaining Team India in this series also. In such a situation, he will also start the innings for India and KL Rahul can be sent to open with him.

Let us tell you that Team India has to tour Australia in November and in such a situation, India is looking for a third opener. For this reason, Rahul can be tried in place of Yashasvi Jaiswal in this series so that he is fully prepared for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Rituraj Gaikwad may also get a chance

Team India's young batsman Rituraj Gaikwad is such a player who has performed well for Team India for some time but even after this he has been shown the way out of Team India.

However, against the Kiwi team, this player can be tried in place of Shubman Gill at number-3. So, veteran batsman Virat Kohli can be seen batting at number four. Kohli would like to perform well in this series because he could not do anything special in the Test series against Bangladesh.

So, wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant can be given a chance at number five. Pant had also batted at number five in the recently concluded Test series against Bangladesh and hence, he can be sent at the same number in this series also.

India's probable playing eleven for the first test match

Rohit Sharma (captain), KL Rahul, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Sarfaraz Khan, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep.
