Latest News :- Virat Kohli became the fastest to score 27,000 runs in his 594th innings, surpassing little master Sachin Tendulkar in the second Test against Bangladesh at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur on Monday. Virat Kohli became the fourth batsman to cross 27,000 international runs in the second Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur.

Virat Kohli, 35, joined the list of top batsmen Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting and Kumar Sangakkara as the fastest to score 27,000 runs across all formats.

It took 623 innings for Sachin Tendulkar to achieve this feat. It is noteworthy that Sachin Tendulkar had reached the milestone of 27,000 runs in 2007.

Sri Lankan wicketkeeper/batsman Sangakkara achieved the feat in his 648th innings in 2015, while Ponting achieved the feat in his 650th match for Australia. In February 2023, Kohli became the fastest batsman to reach 25,000 runs in 549 innings, 28 innings less than Tendulkar. Notably, in October 2023, Kohli quickly reached the milestone of 26,000 runs again, 13 innings less than Tendulkar.
