NCP Ajit Pawar faction leader Baba Siddiqui was shot dead on the late night of Saturday, October 12 in Mumbai. After this incident, he was immediately taken to Lilavati Hospital where he died. At the time of the incident, he was celebrating Dussehra outside the office of his son and MLA Zeeshan Siddiqui. Baba Siddiq's name is included among the big leaders of Maharashtra and he has good relations with politicians as well as celebrities. Therefore, as soon as they came to know about the firing on them, many Bollywood actors reached Lilavati Hospital. Whereas former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh is shocked by his murder. He expressed grief over this incident and prayed for the peace of his soul.
As soon as Yuvraj Singh came to know about Baba Siddiqui's death, he expressed his condolences at 2 o'clock in the night. The Crown Prince described him as a true leader and said that Baba Siddiqui worked for the common people and will be remembered for his generosity. Let us tell you that two to three rounds were fired on Baba Siddiqui, in which one bullet hit his chest. A bullet had also hit his stomach.

Baba Siddiqui used to throw Iftar party every year on Eid. This party of his was very much discussed because many big stars took part in it. Apart from being active in politics, he also worked as a builder. His family is originally from Gopalganj, Bihar. His father came to Mumbai from Gopalganj about fifty years ago and used to work as a watch maker.
Baba Siddiqui started his career as a student leader in Mumbai. After this he served as Municipal Corporator twice. Then he joined Congress and was elected MLA thrice in 1999, 2004 and 2009. He was a big face of the minority community in Mumbai Congress. After being in Congress for almost 48 years, he joined NCP.
