India successfully won the T20I series 3-0 against Bangladesh after the team’s win by 133 runs in the third and final match. Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and elected to bat first, and the batters responded, with the hosts posting 297 runs.
Sanju Samson made the most of the opportunity, smashing a hundred, while SKY and Hardik Pandya once again showed their hitting abilities. In reply, Bangladesh reached just 164 for seven.
Samson accumulated 111 off 47 and was adjudged the Player of the Match.
Hardik, who scored 47 off just 18 balls, was declared the Player of the Series for his all-around performance. Pandya scored 118 runs, took five catches, and dismissed one batter in three innings.
Following the match, Hardik and Samson clicked pictures with the ground staff at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
India will now face New Zealand at home in a three-match contest that starts on October 16 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
If the Rohit Sharma-led team beat the Kiwis in all the games, they will qualify for the World Test Championship final for the third time in a row, irrespective of the results of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024 against Australia.
