While talking to Indian Express, Singh recalled an encounter with India star batter Virat Kohli during te net sessions at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
As India was gearing against Bangladesh for the Test series, Gurjapneet ended up bowling to Kohli as a net-bowler. And during that session, Gurjapneet received a death stare from Virat which stay vivid in his memory.
At the end of the session, the India star gave the young pacer some sound advice.
"After I bowled him, I looked at him and didn't dare to look at him again," Gurjapneet said. "He was very, very angry. But I realised, he was angry with himself more than anything. And after a straight drive, he again looked at me and smiled."
Kohli didn't leave the conversation midway but ended up giving a key advice to the pacer. "He told me, when there is no movement, change the angle and try bowling around the wicket. Because with that angle, even if you manage to get slight movement, it will end up troubling most batsmen," he recalled.
