Team India: India has to play a five-match Border Gavaskar series with Australia from November 22. India has won two Border Gavaskar Series before this. It is not easy to defeat Australia at home but India has done the feat not once but twice. This time too, India will try its best to win this series.
India has started its preparations for the Border Gavaskar series against Australia. The selectors are keeping an eye on all the players, the players who are in form will be given a chance in the upcoming series and those who are not will be shown the way out of the series. KL Rahul, Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammad Siraj can be dropped from this series.
KL has had a very poor performance in the first match of the series against New Zealand. He did not perform as was expected from him. He is being given a chance in the team again and again but he is not able to take advantage of that opportunity.
If we talk about Kuldeep Yadav, he is one of the best spinners in India but he too will not be given a chance in the Australia series. Considering the Australian pitch and conditions, the team would like to take more pacers with them. The places of Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin are already confirmed in the team and if it comes to the third spin, then the team would like to take Akshar Patel because he can handle the batting along with bowling.
At present, both Cheteshwar Pujara and Umesh Yadav are seen in good form. In such a situation, both the players may get a chance in the Border Gavaskar series. Recently, Pujara has played a brilliant inning of 234 runs while playing for Swarashtra in the Ranji Trophy, after which it is considered almost certain that Pujara will be selected in the series.
Also, Umesh has a lot of experience in Test cricket. He is absolutely fit for the Australian pitch which is why he can be selected. Umesh Yadav has played 57 matches for India in which he has taken 170 wickets at an average of 30.95.
