The second match of the three-match Test series between the teams of India and New Zealand is being played in Pune. Both the teams are clashing at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Ground. The first day of this match was in the name of the Indian team. Even after losing the toss, Team India bundled out New Zealand for 259 runs in the first innings. But along with the game, a ruckus was also seen in Pune. Actually, due to a mistake of Maharashtra Cricket Association, the fans present in the ground had to face a lot of problems.
Actually, during this match, water bottles had reached the Maharashtra Cricket Association Ground late, after which there was chaos in the MCA stadium and some fans raised slogans against MCA. Due to which Maharashtra Cricket Association had to apologize to the fans. Let us tell you, 18000 fans had reached the ground on the first day of the game to watch this match and this incident happened in the very first session of the match.
In fact, most of this ground does not have a roof and when the fans sitting in the sun went to get water after the first session of the game, they came to know that water bottles were not available. In such a situation, the crowd at the booth for water kept increasing and after waiting for some time, the fans started raising slogans against MCA. By then the security personnel had started distributing water bottles to calm the situation. All this happened near the media and commentary center in the Hill End of the stadium. This happened because the vehicles bringing water to the stadium located on the outskirts of the city were delayed due to heavy traffic in the morning.
MCA Secretary Kamlesh Pisal told the media, 'We apologize to all the fans for the inconvenience. We will make sure everything goes well going forward. We have already solved the water problem. This time we have decided to provide cold water to the Faisals and there were some problems as some of the stalls ran out of water during the lunch break as there was a lot of crowd there. It took us 15 to 20 minutes to fill the water containers and there was a delay so we decided to give them bottled water for free.
