After that, he was rested in the second test i.e. Pune test and Akash Deep was given a chance in the team. Bumrah has not performed well in the first two Tests, taking only three at an economy rate of 3.09 in the first Test.
Dinesh while talking to Cricbuzz said that Bumrah needs rest, hence Siraj should return to the team.Bumrah's current performance
Jasprit Bumrah may not have made much contribution in the Test series against New Zealand, but before this, Bumrah has always been a troubleshooter for the team. He has always taken wickets for the team. Earlier, he had taken 11 wickets in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh.
Siraj's flop performance
If we talk about Mohammad Siraj, he is not going through good form. He has been given a chance in many series recently but he has not been able to take advantage of that opportunity.
If we look at his past statistics, he was able to take only 2 wickets in the first Test against New Zealand and only 4 wickets in four innings against Bangladesh. Apart from this, he also took only three wickets in the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.
