The India National Cricket Team has made a big change for the third and final Test of the series against New Zealand. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has added pacer Harshit Rana to the team for the Mumbai Test, and he could make his Test debut.

The third Test will be played from November 1 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Harshit Rana has been called up after his impressive all-round display in the Ranji Trophy. He has done a brilliant job for Delhi and recently took an eight-wicket haul and scored a fifty at no.8.

He was part of Team India for the series against New Zealand as a travelling reserve but was released to play Ranji Trophy matches.

Harshit was recently named in the squad for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024. The bowler has been travelling with the national team. The selectors want to manage the senior speedster’s workload so he can replace Jasprit Bumrah in the Mumbai Test.

Rana grabbed the headlines after taking 19 wickets in 13 matches for KKR in IPL 2024.

In nine first-class matches, he has taken 36 wickets at an average of 24.75. India are 0-2 down in the three-match Test series, with New Zealand winning the opening game by 8 wickets and the second by 113 runs.
