Prithvi Shaw: Prithvi Shaw was one of the most talented cricketers of India. Actually, this match was played between Mumbai and Puducherry in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in the year 2021. In which Puducherry won the toss and decided to bowl first.However, due to Puducherry, they did not know what was going to happen to them next. Mumbai had a bad start but Prithvi Shaw first along with Aditya Tare handled the innings and then along with Suryakumar Yadav, they thrashed the Puducherry bowlers.
Prithvi soon completed his century but he did not stop there and within no time he scored his first double century in domestic cricket.
Prithvi played an innings of 227 runs in 152 balls which included 31 fours and 5 sixes. Along with Prithvi, Suryakumar Yadav also took full advantage of the weak bowlers of Puducherry. Surya scored 133 runs in just 58 balls.Thanks to Prithvi's double century, Mumbai scored 457 runs after losing 4 wickets. For Puducherry, Pankaj Singh took 2 wickets for 79 runs in 7 overs. Puducherry team, which came to chase the huge target of 458 runs, was never seen in the match.
Captain Damodaran Rohit kept fighting alone for Puducherry team and scored fifty.
Due to which Puducherry team could reach 224 runs. Prashant Solanki took maximum 5 wickets from Mumbai side. Man of the match was awarded for Prithvi's incredible innings.
