Because, in the match played between Punjab and Tamil Nadu, Shubman Gill played an innings of 268 runs while playing as an opening batsman. In his innings, Gill scored 268 runs in 328 balls. Whereas in his innings he hit 29 fours and 4 sixes.

Young batsman Shubman Gill's performance in the recently played 3-Test series against New Zealand has not been anything special. Because, in 4 innings of the 3 Test match series played against New Zealand, Gill has scored 144 runs at an average of 36.

Which includes 1 half-century. Gill could not play in the first Test match due to injury and Sarfaraz Khan got a chance to play in his place in the team. Gill will now be expected to perform brilliantly in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy to be played from 22nd November and contribute to the team's victory.
