Team India may have won the Perth Test. But now he faces a new challenge. Actually, the Indian team has to play a day-night test in Adelaide, in which the players have very little experience. There will be a challenge to face the pink ball in this match starting on 6th December. During this time, Rohit Sharma's team may have to face another big challenge in the form of Scott Boland. After Hazlewood's injury, his return to the Australian team is considered almost certain.
Before the Adelaide Test, a two-day day-night practice match is to be played between India and Australia's Prime Minister's XI. In this, Boland will be seen leading the pace attack of his team. He is also a part of the main team of Australia. For this reason, it is considered certain that he will play in the second match. If this happens then he will be seen playing Test cricket once again after 519 days. He played the last Test on 6 July 2023. 35-year-old Boland made his Test debut for Australia in 2021. Since then, he played 10 matches, in which he bowled brilliantly and took 35 wickets at an excellent average of 20.34. During this period his economy has been less than 2.
Scott Boland also bowled against India in the 2023 World Test Championship final. He took 2 wickets in the first innings and 3 wickets in the second innings. He had dismissed Virat Kohli in both the innings of this match. He also warned KL Rahul before the start of Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Boland had said that the fun of playing against Rahul in his own ground will be different.
Boland, who came with the Australian team on the India tour last year, had bowled to Rahul in a test match. He had described Rahul as a brilliant batsman and also said that he is such a batsman who can be dominated by Australian bowlers. The Australian pacer called this his goal and expressed hope that he and his fellow bowlers would be successful in doing so during the entire series.
