Tension has increased significantly between Pakistan Cricket Board and Indian Cricket Board regarding the Champions Trophy. Both are adamant about their demands. ICC had called a virtual meeting on November 29 to find a solution but it ended in just 10-15 minutes. During this time no result was achieved and the final decision was postponed for the next 24 to 48 hours. Amidst this clash between the two boards, Pakistani media has spread a big rumor about Jai Shah.
Actually, Jay Shah is going to take charge of the post of ICC Chairman from December 1. But just a day before this, Pakistani media has claimed that now they may have to wait for a month. Because the tenure of the current chairman Greg Barclay can be extended for one month, whereas his term will end on November 30.
Pakistani media says that ICC has taken this decision to smoothly complete this big change in leadership. Whereas, no such decision has been officially announced by the ICC. Let us tell you that currently only Greg Barclay is doing the work of solving the problem of Champions Trophy. If after him this responsibility will be with Jai Shah.
BCCI has clearly told ICC that it will not send Indian players to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. Therefore, this tournament hosted by Pakistan should be organized in hybrid model. Whereas PCB was not ready to accept it at any cost.
However, according to the report of news agency PTI, this information has been received from the sources of Pakistani Board that the Pakistani Board has agreed to India's demand. He has also agreed to play against India in Dubai. But for this he has set a condition that a similar model will be adopted in every tournament to be held for the next 7 years i.e. till 2031. Only then will he fulfill the demands of BCCI this time.
