Whenever we talk about the greatest batsmen in Test cricket, the names of two batsmen come to the forefront - Sir Don Bradman and Sachin Tendulkar. The great Australian batsman has a record average of 99.94, while Sachin has the highest number of runs and centuries. (Photo: Getty and AFP)
It is every batsman's dream to reach around them but not everyone is successful in it. England's young batsman Harry Brook is engaged in a similar effort, where in one case he has left behind legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Virat Kohli. (Photo: PTI)
This feat of Brook was seen in the first test match against New Zealand, where this batsman played a memorable inning of 171 runs in the first innings of the match. This match is being played in Christchurch, New Zealand. (Photo: PTI)
With this innings, Brook's average on foreign soil has become 89.40 in 15 innings of 9 Tests. Among batsmen who have played at least 5 or more Tests on foreign soil, Brook is now behind only Bradman, who had scored 2674 runs in 30 innings of 19 Tests at an astonishing average of 102.84. That means Brook has reached second place in terms of highest test batting average abroad. So far he has scored 1341 runs in 15 innings, which includes 6 centuries. Whereas Sachin has 8705 runs in his name in 176 innings at an average of 54.74. Whereas Virat Kohli's average is only 43.41 in 112 innings. (Photo: PTI)
