Let us tell you that Desai has won the Under-19 World Cup for India. Actually, he was a part of the Indian junior team in the year 2018, when Team India won the World Cup under the captaincy of Prithvi Shaw. Now he will be seen playing for MI. However, Ishan Kishan is seen doing wicket-keeping for Mumbai and apart from him, Vinod was the only other option. In such a situation, in his absence, MI has made only one wicketkeeper batsman a part of its team. This is the first time that he is associated with any franchise in IPL.

Harvik Desai's T-20 career

If we look at the performance of the 24-year-old player in T-20 cricket, he has played a total of 27 matches in this format so far, in which he has scored 691 runs with his bat at an average of 30.04 and a strike rate of 134.17. So the young player has also scored one century and 4 half-centuries. In IPL 2024, MI has to play its next match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
