Cricket season is at its peak. From Australia-New Zealand to South Africa and West Indies, many matches are being held simultaneously. Everyone's eyes are on the Test series between India and Australia, where Team India registered a spectacular victory in the very first Test. Virat Kohli had scored a brilliant century in that match played in Perth. Now once again the magic of Virat has been seen, who has led his team to a thrilling victory. But this victory did not come in Australia but in India only and the batsman who did wonders was not Virat Kohli but Virat Singh, who gave a thrilling victory to his team Jharkhand in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match.

Jharkhand clashed with Haryana on Sunday 1st December at BKC ground in Mumbai. Due to rain, this match could be played only for 16-16 overs. In such a situation, the expectation of the match being exciting increased even more and that is exactly what happened. However, not many runs were scored and the dominance of the bowlers was visible. Haryana batted first in this match and scored 111 runs losing 8 wickets in 16 overs. From his side, young all-rounder Nishant Sindhu played another excellent innings and scored 57 runs in 36 balls.

Jharkhand needed 112 runs to win and for that, experienced wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan made a fast start. However, he was out after scoring 18 runs. After this suddenly there was a flurry of wickets for Jharkhand and captain Virat Singh was seen falling alone from one side. In no time, Jharkhand lost 9 wickets for just 103 runs till the last over. Now only 4 balls were left, only 1 wicket was in hand and 9 runs were needed to win. Captain Virat came on strike due to the run out of the 9th batsman. Till this time he was determined to help the team win by scoring 26 runs in 26 balls.

Virat sent the third ball of the over for four but he could not score any runs on the next two balls. Now the last ball was left and 5 runs were needed to win. There was only one way the team could win and that was a six on the last ball. This experienced left-handed batsman and captain did what the great Indian captain MS Dhoni, who hails from Jharkhand, had done many times in his career. Virat put full emphasis on the last ball and stole the show by hitting an excellent six and giving the team a thrilling victory by 1 wicket. Virat returned unbeaten after scoring 36 runs in 30 balls.
