Rohit Sharma Flop against Prime Ministers XI: The Indian cricket team is playing a two-day practice match against Prime Ministers XI at the Manuka Oval in Canberra. The first day was lost to rain, after which the match was reduced to 46-46 overs on the second day and the Prime Minister's XI team was all out for 240 runs in 43.2 overs on the second day.
After this, Indian fans were expecting that the pair of captain Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal would come to open but Rohit surprised everyone by sending KL Rahul to open. After this Rohit came to bat at number four. There were a lot of expectations from Rohit Sharma before the Pink Ball Test but he could not take advantage of this only innings and was out after scoring only 3 runs.
Before the Pink Ball Test starting from December 6, all eyes were on Hitman that he would score big and ensure India's victory, but he did not look comfortable playing the pink ball from the very first ball. Rohit Sharma looked troubled by the swing delivery and was out at slip on the third ball of the 21st over while trying to play a cover drive like Virat Kohli. You can watch the video of his outing below.
Let us tell you that the upcoming Adelaide Test will be a day-night match and the last time India played a pink ball match in Australia, they were bundled out for just 36 runs on the Adelaide grounds. Although Rohit was not a part of that playing eleven, it remains to be seen how he performs in the upcoming pink ball Test. Along with this, it will also be interesting to see whether Rohit comes out to open in that match or decides to play in the middle order like in this practice match.
