He talked about every aspect of Ishaan, from fun to batting. During this he also appeared emotional. The Mumbai captain said that Ishaan was the energy of the dressing room and always kept the atmosphere cool. Hardik regretted not being able to retain him and praised his skills and said that the team knew that it would be difficult to buy him back in the auction. He described Ishaan as the pocket dynamo of the MI team. Hardik further said that now there will be less pranks with the players and Mumbai will miss them.

Missed 7 years of companionship

Mumbai had included Ishan Kishan in their team at the age of 20 by paying Rs 6.2 crore. After being a part of Gujarat Lions in 2016 and 2017, he made his IPL debut for Mumbai in 2018 and became a big name in no time. He had scored 275 runs at a strike rate of 150 in the debut season of Mumbai itself. After this, Kishan played stormy innings for the team on many occasions and led it to victory and became an important player.

He was the highest run scorer for the team in the 2020 season with 516 runs. In the same season, he demonstrated tremendous power hitting ability and became the player who hit the most sixes. But after 7 years, the relationship between Mumbai Indians and Ishan Kishan has ended. Mumbai did not retain him at first and gave up as soon as the bid went above Rs 3.2 crore during the auction.
