So far, six Indian bowlers have shown tension in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, which started from November 23. He has opened the clutches of wickets i.e. he has taken 5 wickets. And, out of those 6, 3 are those bowlers on whom more than Rs 13 crore was spent in the mega auction of IPL 2025. Among the bowlers we are talking about, he is one who has the experience of winning the Purple Cap in IPL. There are others whose salary in IPL has definitely declined drastically but their performance has not declined due to that. The third one is the all-rounder for whom Mumbai Indians had used the Right to Match card.
Fast bowler Harshal Patel, who has the experience of winning the Purple Cap in IPL, while playing for Haryana, took 5 wickets for 12 runs in 4 overs against Arunachal Pradesh. This match was played on 25 November in Mumbai. Harshal Patel, who was earlier a part of RCB, this time has been signed by SRH for Rs 8 crore.
There has been a huge decline in the IPL price of Shreyas Gopal in the mega auction of IPL 2025. This time Shreyas, who earned more than Rs 9 crore, has been bought by Chennai at his base price of Rs 30 lakh. Shreyas Gopal took 5 wickets for 13 runs in 4 overs in the match played against Sikkim on 29 November. Due to his performance, Karnataka won.
24-year-old all-rounder Naman Dheer took 5 wickets for 19 runs in 4 overs in the match between Punjab and Hyderabad on 1 December. Naman was a part of Punjab team in this match. Naman has been retained by Mumbai Indians using the Right to Match card. For this he got Rs 5.25 crore.
Apart from these, Arpit Guleria of Himachal Pradesh took 5 wickets against Jharkhand on 27 November, Akhil Scaria of Kerala took 5 wickets against Services on 23 November and Jagjit Singh of Chandigarh took 5 wickets against Chhattisgarh on 29 November. However, these three are not part of the IPL like the first 3 bowlers. A total of Rs 13.55 crore has been spent on the first 3 bowlers in IPL 2025.
