The Under-19 Asia Cup match is being played in UAE. Mohammad Aman, who was captaining Team India in this tournament, scored a brilliant century in the match against Japan. In this match held in Sharjah on Monday 2nd December, Aman came to bat at number 4 and scored a century in just 106 balls. This 18 year old player stole the show by playing an inning of 122 runs in 118 balls against Japan. But do you know who is Amaan who created a stir in UAE and how did he complete this journey?
Mohammad Aman has struggled a lot at the age of just 18. His cricket journey is an inspiration for other players. He became orphan at the age of just 16. Life gave him two big shocks one after the other. He first lost his mother at the age of 13 in 2019 during the Corona epidemic. He had not yet recovered from his grief when at the age of 16, his father died in the year 2022. In this way, within just 3 years, Aman lost the support of his parents. After both of them left, the responsibility of three younger brothers and sisters fell on him.
Now Aman was left with two options. Either he fulfills his dream of playing cricket for Team India or he works as a laborer to save his family from starvation. Any person can disintegrate in this situation. But he did not give up and fulfilled his family responsibilities along with his dreams. He continued to run his household by earning money from cricket and after two years of hard work, he was selected for the Under-19 Asia Cup. Besides, he was also made the captain of the team.
Aman was born in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh in 2006 and plays for UP in domestic cricket. Although, he has not yet got a chance to debut in the first class, but he has made a name for himself with his performance at an early age. He was also selected in the UP T20 League, where he was seen playing for Noida Kings. Aman has revealed that BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla has helped him a lot in moving forward.
