The clouds of apprehension now seem to be looming over the Champions Trophy. The ICC high command has not yet reached any concrete conclusion regarding this and now the news is that this tournament is not going to be on the agenda of the meeting to be held in the next few days. However, the picture is not clear yet regarding when that meeting will take place. However, Cricbuzz has written quoting sources that the ICC meeting can be held on December 5. However, he has not made any claim.

This will be the first meeting to be held under the chairmanship of the new ICC President Jay Shah. Jai Shah took charge on 1 December. ICC had said in its statement issued on December 1 that it welcomes the new president Jay Shah. It is expected that his arrival will be the beginning of a new chapter in world cricket.

Champions Trophy not on the agenda of the meeting on December 5!

It is believed that Jai Shah may call a virtual board meeting on December 5. Although he will not have any specific agenda. The situation is not clear regarding whether there will be a decision regarding the Champions Trophy. There is a dark cloud of apprehension over the Champions Trophy after the Indian team refused to play in Pakistan. However, according to the report, Pakistan has accepted the adoption of hybrid formula, but there is a condition for it.

BCCI is in no mood to accept PCB's proposal!

According to PCB, it is ready to play the Champions Trophy in the hybrid model, but BCCI will also have to accept the hybrid model in all the ICC events to be held in India till 2031. This means that just as India-Pakistan matches in the Champions Trophy are being asked to be held in Dubai, in the same way, during ICC events in India, Pakistan's matches should be held in Colombo or any other neutral venue. However, till now no such indication has been seen from BCCI, which would suggest that BCCI is ready to accept the PCB's proposal.
