In the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia, the war is not just between bat and ball. The war of words continues in this series, which started with the Perth Test. During the Perth Test, Australian players tried to sledge young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal but this player also gave them a befitting reply. Yashasvi Jaiswal called Australia's legendary spinner Nathan Lyon old. Nathan Lyon himself told this during a podcast.
Nathan Lyon revealed during a podcast that while he was bowling in Perth, he was talking to Yashasvi Jaiswal. Lion said, 'Yashasvi told me, you are a legend but you are old. He told me this while bowling. After this I replied to him and said, 'It is true friend but I am still not feeling so old.'
In Perth, Yashasvi Jaiswal not only sledged the Lion but he also did not spare Mitchell Starc. Starc was bowling very fast against this left-handed batsman, during this Jaiswal told Starc that you are not that fast. However, after the match, Starc claimed that he did not hear any such thing from Jaiswal.
Yashasvi Jaiswal played an important role in defeating Australia in Perth. Jaiswal could not even open his account in the first innings but in the second innings this player scored a brilliant century. Jaiswal played an inning of 161 runs in the second innings. On the basis of his century, Team India made a huge score of 487 runs in the second innings. Australia was given a target of 534 runs and in response the Australian team was limited to only 238 runs. Team India won the Perth Test by a record margin of 295 runs.
