In the first match of the Border-Gavaskar series against Australia, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah took the command of Team India. The team's performance under his captaincy has been excellent and by winning in Perth they took a 1-0 lead in the series. In this match, Bumrah had shown an amazing performance as captain as well as bowling. He took a total of 8 wickets in the match and helped the team win the match by 295 runs. In view of this powerful game, ICC has now nominated Bumrah for a special award.
ICC has nominated Jasprit Bumrah for the ICC Men's Player of the Month Award for November 2024. In the Perth Test, Bumrah took 5 wickets for 30 runs in the first innings. Due to which India got a lead of 46 runs. After this, he took 3 wickets for 42 runs in the second innings. Bumrah is now eyeing to win the ICC Men's Player of the Month Award for the second time. Earlier, he had won this award in June this year.
Team India won the title of T20 World Cup 2024 in the month of June. Then Jasprit Bumrah was the diamond in the team's victory. He bowled very economically throughout the tournament and won the ICC Men's Player of the Month award for the first time in his career. If he wins this award this time too, he will also make a big record. In fact, till now Shubman Gill is the only Indian player who has won the ICC Men's Player of the Month Award twice in a year. Now Bumrah has a big chance to equal this record.
Apart from Jasprit Bumrah, ICC has also nominated Marco Johnson and Haris Rauf for this award. Let us tell you, Yanson is in the race to become the first South African to win this award after Keshav Maharaj in April 2022. On the other hand, Haris Rauf played an important role in Pakistan's historic victory in the ODI series on Australia tour. He continued his form in the T20 series also. In such a situation, Haris Rauf is also in the race to win this award.
