After different T20 leagues of the world including IPL, Nepal Premier League has also started making its mark. Some big players have also arrived in the first season of this league and amazing performances are being seen. Former Team India batsman Shikhar Dhawan is also taking part in this and entertaining the fans, but the first century of this league has been scored not by Shikhar but by some other batsman. This batsman is Andres Goss of America, who gave his team victory very easily by playing a century in just 55 balls.
In the 11th match of this league being played in Kirtipur, Nepal, on Friday 6th December, Lumbini Lions faced Pokhara Avengers. Some excellent batting was seen from both sides in this match, which was started by Lumbini Lions. However, it had a bad start as both the openers of Lumbini were out without opening the account. Despite this, the team made a strong score of 170 runs and the reason for this was captain Rohit Poudel. This experienced batsman from Nepal played an important inning of 95 runs in just 59 balls, which included 10 fours and 4 sixes.
Now if Lumbini Lions face problems then they too must have thought that they will also create problems for Pokhara. But this did not happen. Dinesh Kharel and Andrew Goss, who came to open for Pokhara, thrashed every Lumbini bowler one by one. In this too, right-handed American batsman Goss was seen in a more explosive mood. He completed his half-century in just 20 balls. Even after this, his attack continued and he scored the first century of Nepal Premier League in 54 balls.
