Currently, Team India is on the backfoot in the Adelaide Test. The Australian team has taken the lead over India and the Kangaroo team is currently in a strong position. Australia took a lead of more than 150 runs on the basis of Travis Head's brilliant century. However, during this period something also happened which caused an uproar. This case was India's appeal against Mitchell Marsh. This Australian batsman was sent to the pavilion by star spinner Ravichandran Ashwin but this could have happened long before it happened but it could not happen due to a decision of the third umpire, after which Virat Kohli started arguing with the umpire on the field itself.

Virat reminded the umpire about the Perth incident

This incident happened in the 58th over of Australia's innings. Ashwin was bowling for India and Mitchell Marsh was in front. A ball from Ashwin fell directly in front of the stump and the ball hit Marsh's pad. There was an appeal but the umpire gave not out. Immediately after this, Ashwin asked for DRS. Rohit demanded DRS but the third umpire gave Marsh not out due to lack of evidence. Whereas later on looking at it from another angle it was clearly visible that the ball had hit the pad directly and the contact with the bat was later.

Team India was surprised by Marsh being given not out. Ashwin was also unhappy with this decision whereas Virat Kohli also did not like this decision. Virat Kohli immediately clashed with the on-field umpire and reminded him of the Perth Test. KL Rahul was given out in a similar situation during the Perth Test while Marsh was not given out in Adelaide. Regarding this matter, Virat Kohli said that the same thing happened in the Perth Test also, there were two spikes on the ultra edge during the wicket of KL Rahul. Let us tell you that Rahul was then given out whereas the matter heated up due to Marsh not being given out in Adelaide.

Mitchell Marsh returned cheaply

However, even then Marsh would not have been out because the impact in ball tracking was clearly out, due to which the decision would have gone in Marsh's favor due to the umpire's call. Yet the third umpire had already made a fundamental mistake. This also caused loss to Team India because one of its reviews was spoiled, whereas the review does not get spoiled when the umpire's call comes. However, Marsh could not take any advantage of getting the lease of life and after some time, he was caught by wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant on Ashwin's ball. Marsh scored only 9 runs in 26 balls. However, here the reverse happened with him because the ball did not hit Marsh's bat, but the bat hit the pad but Marsh himself went back.
