IND vs AUS: Australian bowlers were famous on the first day of the second match of Border Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia. On one hand, Australia's legendary bowler Mitchell Starc broke the back of the Indian team by taking 6 wickets, while on the other hand, Team India's fast bowlers kept yearning for wickets. Jasprit Bumrah definitely got one wicket but Mohammad Siraj did not get any wicket in his account. But while bowling, Mohammad Siraj made a big mistake due to which he may get severe punishment from ICC.
The second match of the five-match series between India and Australia is being played at Adelaide Oval. Team India was seen on the backfoot on the first day of this match which started from 6th December. But Mohammad Siraj did not desist from showing his attitude. He did not get any wicket but he looked aggressive on the pitch. During this time, he hit a ball to Australia's middle order batsman Marnus Labuschagne. Siraj came with the runup and started bowling, only then Labuschagne signaled him to stop but in anger Siraj threw the ball towards Labuschagne. Not only this, Siraj had also said some abusive words to Labuschagne.
Labuschagne was distracted by a fan walking in front. Actually a person was carrying glasses of beer. There were a lot of glasses kept one above the other and after seeing the person, Labuschagne signaled Siraj to stop. Siraj definitely stopped but he was angry and threw the ball hard towards Labuschagne. But fortunately nothing happened to Labuschagne. He had saved himself. The video of this incident is much discussed on social media.
For this action of Siraj, he may get punishment from ICC. According to the ICC Code of Conduct, Siraj has violated the rules. Undoubtedly he is guilty as per section 2.9. Now it remains to be seen whether ICC takes any action against Siraj or not.
