ICC banned Sunny Dhillon: In the cricket world, many league cricket is being played on the lines of IPL. In which major action has been taken against an assistant coach of a popular and particularly favorite league of the players. In this league, the former assistant coach of the team has been banned from all three formats of cricket for 6 years.

Taking a major action, the Emirates Cricket Board has banned Sunny Dhillon for 6 years, who was the former assistant coach of a team of the Abu Dhabi T10 League to be held in UAE. He was found guilty of violating the Anti-Corruption Code of the 2021 edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League.

Former assistant coach Sunny Dhillon banned for 6 years

Sunny Dhillon has been accused of setting the results of the matches of this last year's tournament. He accomplished this work along with 7 other people. After which the anti-corruption officials nominated for ICC and Emirates Cricket Board jointly investigated, in which Sunny has been found guilty. He has previously been the assistant coach of a team in the Abu Dhabi T10 League.

After the written and oral arguments of the parties came forward in the hearing regarding this case, the Anti Corruption Bureau has held him guilty and found him guilty under different articles.

Article 2.1.1:
Being a party to, attempting to fix, fabricate or improperly influence matches or the outcome of matches in the Abu Dhabi T10 2021.

Article 2.4.4:
Failure to provide full information to DACO regarding any contact or invitation received to engage in corrupt conduct under the Code.

Article 2.4.6:
Failing or refusing, without good reason, to cooperate in any investigation conducted by the DACO in relation to possible corrupt conduct under the Code.

This ban will come into effect from 13 September 2023, because Sunny was temporarily suspended then. This decision was taken to take action against any corruption and maintain the dignity of cricket. After which now he has been banned for 6 years after all the investigation process.
