Zimbabwe vs Afghanistan 1st T20I Highlights: On the basis of brilliant performance by Brian Bennett and Richard Ngarwa, Zimbabwe defeated Afghanistan by 4 wickets in the first T20 International played at Harare Sports Club. With this, the host team has taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
After winning the toss and batting first, Afghanistan scored 144 runs at the loss of 6 wickets. In which Karim Janat scored 54 runs in 49 balls with the help of 5 fours and Mohammad Nabi scored 44 runs in 27 balls, in which he hit 5 fours and 1 six.
For Zimbabwe, Ngarwa took 3 wickets, Blessing Muzarabani, Wellington Masakadza and Trevor Gwandu took 1 wicket each.
Chasing the target, Zimbabwe team won on the last ball after losing 6 wickets. Brian Bennett scored 49 runs in 49 balls, while Dion Myers scored 32 runs in 29 balls. Apart from this, no other player could do anything special.
For Afghanistan, Naveen Ul Haq took 3 wickets, captain Rashid Khan took 2 wickets and Mohammad Nabi took 1 wicket.
The second match of the series will be played on Friday (13 December) in Harare.
