Virat Kohli hasn’t been in good form in the ongoing five-Test series against Australia. Although he scored a century in the second innings of the first Test, the right-handed batter has registered three failures. In the second Test at the Adelaide Oval, he couldn’t handle the rising delivery from Mitchell Starc in the first innings. In the second essay, Scott Boland bowled a wide delivery, and Kohli was caught behind the stumps.

Reflecting on his failure in both innings, Sunil Gavaskar compared the star batter with great Sir Don Bradman, saying the Aussie legend didn’t score runs in every red-ball game.

“Bradman never had a series where he was among the runs in all the matches. You fail in one match and I hope Virat will score runs in the remaining three Tests in Australia,” Sunil Gavaskar said on Star Sports.

The cricketer-turned-commentator mentioned that Kohli can return to his scoring spree if he bats cautiously against the line and length the Australian fast bowlers are bowling to him.

“He is having a problem with the balls that are pitched outside the off-stump and this could happen with any batter. All he has to do is to bat carefully against the line and length of the Aussie fast bowlers. If he does that, he will score runs,” he added.
