The year 2024 is about to end. On one hand people will bid farewell to this year while on the other hand they will welcome 2025. 2024 has been memorable for Indian fans from cricket point of view. The Indian cricket team had created history by winning the T-20 World Cup this year. Many cricketers will consider it memorable because of their personal lives. Actually, many cricketers have got married this year. These include names ranging from IPL star Venkatesh Iyer to Chetan Sakariya. Although crores of rupees were spent on any of these cricketers in the auction held for IPL 2025, none of the cricketers were even bought.
29 year old Venkatesh Iyer married Shruti Raghunathan in June this year. It was a love marriage of both of them. Let us tell you that Venkatesh Iyer, who has emerged as a big star of the Indian Premier League, has also played for Team India. He played two ODIs and 9 T-20 International matches. Whereas in IPL he is a part of Kolkata Knight Riders. When KKR became IPL champion for the third time in the year 2024, Iyer had scored an unbeaten half century. Venkatesh was recently bought back by KKR in the IPL 2025 auction. KKR had bid Rs 23.75 crore for him.
26 year old fast bowler Chetan Sakariya is also getting married this year. He married his girlfriend Meghna Jamboocha this year. Chetan has played 1 ODI and 2 T20 for India. He has played 19 matches in IPL. However, Chetan got a big shock during the IPL 2025 auction when no team bought him. His base price was Rs 75 lakh.
Preram Mankad is a brilliant all-rounder in domestic cricket. He has played 5 matches for Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2023. Whereas in the 2022 IPL, he played one match for Punjab Kings. 30-year-old Prerak married his girlfriend Kinjal this year.
Priyank Panchal, one of the great batsmen of domestic cricket, has been the captain of the Gujarat team. In March 2024, Priyank married sports psychologist Kalna Shukla.
Afghanistan's star bowler Rashid Khan was married on 3 October 2024. They got married with great pomp at the Imperial Continental Hotel in Kabul. Indian bowler Mohsin Khan, who played for Lucknow Super Giants in IPL, got married in November this year.
