Many big star players are showing their talent in the first season of Big Cricket League. After the wonders of stalwarts like Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina, Imran Tahir, now Yusuf Pathan also spread his magic. Pathan, who was famous for hitting big shots and playing explosive innings during his cricket career, showed the same form in the Big Cricket League and played a tremendous innings by hitting only 15 fours and sixes. Pathan did wonders but the party was spoiled by 22 year old unknown batsman Saket Sharma, who batted faster than Yusuf and scored 84 runs.
In the fifth match of this league being played in Surat, on Saturday 14th December, Rajasthan Regals faced MP Tigers. Rajasthan batted first in this match and the team gave a masterclass of explosive batting and scored a big score of 237 runs after losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. This is also the biggest score of this league so far. Experienced batsmen Yusuf Pathan and Saket played a big role in taking Rajasthan to this point.
Pathan, in his well-known style, came in the middle order and batted till the end and played a brilliant innings. But before him, the wonders of 22 year old opener Saket Sharma were seen. This right-handed batsman thrashed the MP bowlers and scored 84 runs in just 44 balls. His innings also included 12 fours and 3 sixes. However, from the other side, two batsmen were out before his eyes on the scores of 0 and 4. In such a situation, Saket along with Pathan took the team to a big score.
The Pathan attack was continuing from the other side. After a slow start, Yusuf changed gears and took the responsibility of scoring himself after Saketh was out. Pathan, in his own style, believed in hitting as many fours and sixes as possible. He scored unbeaten 86 runs in 54 balls, due to which the team was able to reach such a big score. In his innings, Yusuf hit 10 fours and 5 skyscraper sixes.
