Travis Head, who scored a 152 runs in the first innings of the third Test at the Gabba, was asked to name a tougher bowler between Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, and the southpaw went with the former. No only Head, most of the Australian batters took R Ashwin’s name.

Ashwin has been a performer in Australia in the past. However, he didn’t had a good pink-ball Test and was dropped from the playing XI for the ongoing game in Brisbane. He was replaced by Ravindra Jadeja, who was hit for fours and sixes by Head.

“Ashwin for me as he has a couple of more variations and is a lot quicker. He is the hardest between the two,” Head told Cricket Australia.

“Jadeja had got good skills and goes bang, bang, bang.. But Ashwin is a thinking bowler,” Khawaja said….

“Ashwin finds ways to get batter out. He likes to compete hard,” Alex Carey said.

Steve Smith, who scored a ton in the third game, also named Ashwin.

“Ashwin has dismissed me a few times. Jadeja has also taken my wicket but I feel Ashwin is tough because of the skills. He plans his bowling according to wickets,” Smith said.

“Ashwin has the bounce and Jadeja is consistent. This is what you need,” Nathan Lyon said.
