Delhi: Bangladesh performed brilliantly in the second match of the three-match T20 series against West Indies, winning by 27 runs and taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. In this match played in Kingstown, Bangladesh batted first and scored 129/7. In reply, West Indies were reduced to 102 runs. This victory was historic for Bangladesh, because for the first time they have won a T20 series in West Indies.

Bangladesh lost 2 wickets for 29 runs in the power play, but thanks to the useful innings of Mehdi Hasan Miraj (26) and Shamim Hossain (35*) the team reached a respectable score.

In reply, West Indies batsmen were seen struggling against the Bangladeshi bowlers. Top-order batsmen Brandon King (8), Andre Fletcher (0), Nicholas Pooran (5) and Rovman Powell (6) failed to make major contributions.

Bangladesh won the T20 series in West Indies for the first time. This is only the second T20 win for them on Caribbean soil. Overall, Bangladesh has registered 7 wins in 16 matches against West Indies.

Bangladeshi bowlers performed strongly in this match. Taskin Ahmed took 3 wickets for 16 runs and ensured a bad start for West Indies. Mehdi Hasan took 2 wickets for 20 runs in 4 overs, while Rishad Hussain and Tanzeem Hasan Saqib also took 2 wickets each.

Amidst the falling wickets, Roston Chase (32) and Akil Hussain (31) put up some fight and made a partnership of 47 runs, but due to the failure of other batsmen, the team remained away from the target. This victory has taken Bangladesh to new heights in T20 cricket against West Indies.
