Australia had announced its squad for the last two Tests against India on 20 December. After the announcement of this squad, young opener Nathan McSweeney got a big shock. After being out of the Australian team, McSweeney has now returned to the Big Bash League (BBL). In BBL, he was seen playing for Brisbane Heat team. McSweeney hit fifty, won the match

The 9th match of the current season of the Big Bash League between Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat was played at the Gabba Stadium in Brisbane. Batting first in the match, Adelaide Strikers scored 174 runs losing 6 wickets. Brisbane Heat achieved the target of 175 runs on the last ball with the help of McSweeney's brilliant fifty. Nathan's bat, which flopped in the Test series against India, roared fiercely in BBL. He played brilliantly and scored 78 runs in 49 balls. 10 fours and 2 sixes came from his bat.

19 year old Sam Constas replaced McSweeney

Nathan McSweeney has been replaced by 19 year old Sam Constas. It is expected that Constas can debut in international cricket through the fourth Test to be played in Melbourne. He has not played a single international match till now. Constus had played a century in the practice match between Australia Prime Minister's XI and India after the Perth Test.

McSweeney failed badly against India

25-year-old Nathan McSweeney made his debut in international cricket in the first match of the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy. However, for him this opportunity was like a nightmare. He was able to score only 72 runs in 6 innings of three matches against India. Not a single half century came from his bat.
