Suresh Raina along with opener Phil Mustard made a partnership of 119 runs in just 53 balls for the second wicket. During this period, Mustard also supported him a lot. He kept pace with Raina and scored 78 runs in 39 balls at a strike rate of 200. Mustard hit 10 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. However, Raina was out on the score of 131 and Mustard was out on the score of 145.
But due to the strong start of both, the rest of the batsmen got momentum. In the end, Faiz Fazal scored 30 runs in 19 balls, Abhimanyu Mithun scored 25 runs in 22 balls and Aman Khan scored 10 runs in 5 balls to take the team to 210 runs. In this way, Raina's team set a mountain-like target of 211 runs in front of Irfan Pathan's team in the final.
