Koneru has won the World Rapid title for the second time.

India Koneru Humpy wins World Rapid Chess Championship title News In Hindi: Before the end of the year 2024, India has got another big success in chess, on Sunday 37-year-old Koneru Humpy won the FIDE World Rapid Championship 2024 title.

Earlier in 2019, he had won this title in Moscow. Then after winning the title in 2024, Humpy joined the club of China's Xu Wenjun, who had won the title more than once in one format. Koneru Humpy's win adds to India's notable chess achievements this year, which earlier also included D Gukesh's victory over China's Ding Liren in the Classical Format World Championship in Singapore.

India's Hampi Koneru has captured this title for the second time. Humpy first won the World Rapid Chess Championship in Georgia in 2019. Now after five years he has repeated history again.
