The last match of the series being played between Australia and India in Sydney has reached an exciting turn. The first innings of both the teams is over. After this India has started its second innings. The Indian team's first innings had a bad start but the second innings started in such a way that India's young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal spoiled the line length of Australia's legendary bowler Mitchell Starc. Jaiswal scored 16 runs in the very first over. With this, it proved to be Starc's second most expensive first over in Test cricket.

Jaiswal hit 4 fours in Starc's first over.

Mitchell Starc brought the first over of the Indian innings.

Yashasvi Jaiswal was in front. Yashasvi played a dot on Starc's first ball. After this he hit a four on the second ball. The result remained the same on the third and fourth balls also. The fifth ball remained empty. Then after this, Jaiswal hit a four on the last ball also. In the very first over of Starc, Jaiswal scored 16 runs by hitting four fours.

Let us tell you that this has become the second most expensive first over bowled by Starc in a test match. Earlier in 2022, Starc had scored 17 runs in the first over of the Test. In a test match against Sri Lanka at the Galle Stadium, Starc conceded 17 runs in his very first over. Whereas now after three years, this shameful record of Starc was saved from being broken. Had he scored two more runs in the first over, a shameful achievement would have been registered in his name.

Australia's first innings was limited to 181 runs

The Indian team had scored 185 runs in the first innings. Rishabh Pant had scored the maximum 40 runs. Scott Boland took maximum 4 wickets for Australia. In reply, Australia's first innings was reduced to 181 runs. Debutant Beau Webster scored the maximum 57 runs for him. Whereas Mohammad Siraj and Prasidh Krishna took three wickets each. While captain Jasprit Bumrah and Nitish Kumar Reddy took two wickets each.
