During the last innings of the last match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy being played between India and Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), Virat Kohli did something on the field which once again brought Team India's legendary batsman into focus on social media. -There is a noisy discussion going on. During Australia's second innings, Virat Kohli enjoyed the Australian fans a lot. He silenced the fans by showing the Australian crowd an empty pocket and reminding them of the controversial sandpaper gate of 2018.
Australian fans were booing Virat Kohli fiercely after the dismissal of Australia's legendary batsman Steve Smith.
Kohli also gave a befitting and forceful reply to this. He showed both the empty pockets of his trousers to the Australian fans. He told the Australian crowd that his pocket was empty and there was no sandpaper in it. This video of Virat is going viral on social media.“What is that about?”#AUSvIND pic.twitter.com/HwNZXhKW1S

Let us tell you that in the year 2018, in a match against South Africa, Australia had done such an act related to sandpaper due to which it was criticized a lot in world cricket. Australian player Cameron Bancroft had used sandpaper on the ball in the match against South Africa at Newland. Apart from him, Steve Smith and David Warner were also found guilty in this case.
Smith and Warner were banned for one year each. Whereas Bancroft was banned for 9 months. Virat refreshed the memories of this infamous sandpaper gate by showing his empty pocket to the Australian fans.Virat Kohli is also seen captaining Team India in the Sydney Test. Rohit Sharma is not a part of Team India in this test. In his place, India's vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah took over the command. But Bumrah got injured while bowling during the second day's play. Since then, Virat is holding the command of the Indian team.
