Pakistan Preparation Not Completed for Champions Trophy 2025: ICC Champions Trophy, one of the most important tournaments of world cricket, is going to return after a long time.

This year, for the first time after 2017, this Mini World Cup tournament is going to be held. Which is being hosted by Pakistan. The Pakistan Cricket Board, along with the ICC, somehow convinced India to play under the hybrid model, but the trouble is not leaving the PCB.

Pakistan Cricket Board is preparing wholeheartedly for hosting the Champions Trophy, but in the meantime, news is coming which will give tension to the PCB, where the hosting of this tournament can be completely snatched away from them.

Yes… the reason for this is the unpreparedness of the venues hosting the Champions Trophy in Pakistan till now.

Venues in Pakistan are not fully prepared for Champions Trophy

There are about 40 days left for the ICC Champions Trophy to start its trumpet. But the venues in Pakistan are not ready yet.

Work is still going on in the stadiums of Karachi and Lahore and a lot of it seems to be left. In such a situation, an ICC committee is coming to Pakistan to take stock of these preparations and if any lapse is seen in the preparations, then major action can be taken by the ICC.

ICC may snatch hosting from PCB if preparation deadline ends

According to a report, an ICC team will monitor the ongoing work on the stadium in Pakistan next week and assess the venue. After which, if it is not possible to complete the stadium work by the deadline, then ICC can shift this entire tournament to UAE.

In such a situation, this is like a litmus test for the Pakistan Cricket Board, if it fails here then with great difficulty it will lose the hosting of the ICC event after years.

Now it will be interesting to see how the Pakistan Cricket Board completes these remaining preparations. Because there is not much time left for the Champions Trophy starting from 19th February. Due to which ICC will also be forced to take action.
