New Delhi: Veteran India batter Cheteshwar Pujara took the internet by storm with a cryptic post just hours before the much-anticipated Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings clash at the Wankhede Stadium in the ongoing Indian Premier League. Puraja, who had a very short stint in IPL, from 2010 to 2014 and 2021, took to social media platform ‘X’ and wrote ‘#SupperKings looking forward to join you guys this season!’ The post went viral in no time, prompting the fans to speculate whether Puraja is returning to Chennai Super Kings after a three-year hiatus.

However, many failed to note a subtle twist at the first view where Pujara used ‘SupperKings’ instead of the original ‘Super Kings’. While it is yet to be known what the post is all about, but it certainly looked like a potential marketing act.

One of the best Test speciallists and consistent performers the country has ever produced, Pujara started his IPL career in 2010 with Kolkata Knight Riders. The next year he shifted his base to Royal Challengers Bengaluru where he stayed till 2013. He played for Punjab Kings (then Kings XI Punjab) in 2014. From 2010 to 2014, Pujara played 30 games and scored 390 runs with a single fifty to his name.

Seven years later, Pujara was picked up by the CSK management but didn’t play a game as the MS Dhoni-led side went on to lift the title.
